The WovenLinks Sponsored Assessment Program

Accessing a comprehensive, professional autism assessment as an adult can be an incredibly challenging and cost-prohibitive journey. Due to systemic barriers, limited adult clinical resources, and high out-of-pocket expenses, many neurodivergent individuals remain in limbo without the diagnostic clarity they deserve.

To address this critical gap, Open Door Assessments LLC has partnered with its sister social enterprise, WovenLinks Workshop LLC, to establish a fully funded, need-based clinical scholarship program.

Through this collaborative initiative, retail proceeds and community sponsorships generated by WovenLinks Workshop are used to purchase pre-paid diagnostic slots, allowing eligible adults experiencing severe financial hardship to receive a comprehensive evaluation at zero out-of-pocket cost.

How the Program Works

The funding engine is powered by community solidarity and corporate social responsibility:

  1. The Retail Contribution: For every premium garment purchased from WovenLinks Workshop, exactly $6.00 is transferred directly into the Open Door Assessments scholarship pool.

  2. The Voucher Sponsorship: Private sponsors can purchase a pre-paid "Sponsored Assessment Voucher" directly through the WovenLinks e-commerce store.

  3. The Clinical Fulfillment: Under a formal intercompany service agreement, WovenLinks Workshop purchases these diagnostic slots directly from Open Door Assessments at a pre-negotiated, bulk contracted rate. Open Door Assessments then matches these fully pre-paid slots with approved applicants on the clinical waitlist.

Eligibility & Objective Selection Criteria

Applications are reviewed on a rolling monthly basis as funding is secured through apparel sales and voucher sponsorships.

Step 1: Submit the Preliminary Application

Eligible adults are invited to complete the confidential online intake form. The form gathers basic demographic information, a brief summary of clinical goals, and standard household income verification.

Step 2: Rubric Review

The intake committee reviews the submission against the standardized financial-need criteria. Qualifying applicants are placed on the sponsored waitlist.

Step 3: Assessment Scheduling

As funding vouchers are cleared, the next applicant on the waitlist is contacted directly by the clinical scheduling team to begin the comprehensive assessment process.

The Application Process

To maintain the highest standards of clinical integrity and comply with federal and state healthcare guidelines, a strict separation exists between the retail funding source and the clinical selection process:

  • Waitlist Independence: Personnel from WovenLinks Workshop have zero access to, influence over, or visibility into the applicant waitlist or selection process.

  • The Hardship Rubric: Diagnostic slots are awarded based strictly on objective, documented financial-need criteria. An administrative committee evaluates applications using a standardized household income and clinical urgency rubric.

  • Complete Anonymity: To protect patient privacy under federal law, the identity of the scholarship recipient remains 100% anonymous to the financial sponsor, and vice versa.

Important Regulatory & Legal Disclosures

  • Corporate Relationship: Open Door Assessments LLC and WovenLinks Workshop LLC are separate, legally distinct limited liability companies operating under the common ownership and control of a shared parent holding company.

  • Tax and Contribution Status: WovenLinks Workshop LLC and Open Door Assessments LLC are commercial, for-profit entities. Consequently, purchases of apparel, sponsored vouchers, or contributions to the clinical scholarship pool are standard retail transactions and are not tax-deductible as charitable donations under federal or state law.

  • HIPAA Compliance & Privacy: All clinical evaluations, intake data, financial verification documents, and medical charts are strictly protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). No protected health information (PHI) is ever shared with retail personnel, marketing staff, or third-party sponsors.

  • Utah Consumer Protection: This program is operated in strict compliance with the Utah Charitable Solicitations Act (Utah Code § 13-22-22). All funds transferred from WovenLinks Workshop LLC are audited monthly to ensure exact alignment with advertised per-unit promotional disclosures.
